・Typing keys form a string in the message area at the top of the document window. After a short delay, the string is used to match the closest file based on file name and "jump" to this file. This is a bit like what you can do in the finder, but searches always start at the beginning of the file list. Please note, if you mistakenly hit a key, use the "delete" key to make the match string null--nothing will happen in this case.
・Previews can now be created for images on "read only" devices such as CDs. The previews are stored in memory, so depending on how much is available, may have to be recreated due to scrolling etc.
Bug Fixes:
Cached previews weren't being disposed of properly when a window was closed. This could cause a low memory situation.
A freeze occured when scrolling in Gallery List Views. This seemed to be confined to Japanese systems, but may have been more widespread. The culprit was the system routine RotateCursor(), so no cursor feedback will occur for this scrolling.
Library for QuickTime 2.5 support isn't required. Attempting to run PPC 4.4 without QuickTime 2.5 installed resulted in a system error.
Opening an empty list(no readable files found) caused a crash.
256 color support: List views now use a system color palette rather than palette of the current image.
256 color support: Full screen window wasn't using custom color palette.
Window menu items now reflect window titles, rather than current file name (in list views).
Registered users can now change the username and password.
Multi-image GIFs weren't saving settings properly (i.e. Delay and Transparency).
Quitting with modified images didn't save properly. Multi-image GIFs saved as a result of Quit, may have resulted in corrupt data.
The test for valid JPEG data was too stringent and eliminated some files that could be read.
The movie window interface has been improved(it was quite a mess). Things should work more or less as you'd expect. In particular, the movie window behavior in List Views is much better. Please note, there is only one movie window (currently) available per document(file list).
